Having to meet a delivery target within a certain time and budget automatically leads to compromises, and these compromises end up being part of the ticking technical debt time bomb. This means that organizations need to think of ways to, firstly, work out how to pay down the debt and, secondly, how to avoid getting into debt in the first place.
